About
I'm a first-year student at Rutgers Business School–New Brunswick, studying finance. I came to Rutgers from the Business Administration Magnet Program at Marlboro High School, where I was a four-time DECA and FBLA state qualifier.
The project that made finance concrete for me was SpecSight, a 120-plus-page business plan for a conceptual smart-eyewear company. I built the financial model: 12-month and three-year projections, balance-sheet forecasts, and a break-even analysis. What stayed with me is how tightly the numbers depend on each other. Change one assumption about pricing or volume and it shows up everywhere else, which is what makes a model worth arguing about.
My interests sit on the investing side of the industry: asset management, equity research, and wealth and portfolio management, alongside investment banking and financial analysis. I'm early enough that I haven't narrowed that list, and I'd rather learn what each path involves from the people doing the work. In the meantime I'm building the fundamentals and plan to publish my own research here as I finish it.
Most of what I know about leading people comes from outside the classroom. I spent two years as president of Toastmasters M76 Club, running a seven-officer team and about 30 members. From 2021 to 2026 I led worship and ran AV at Monmouth Community Christian Church, where I trained volunteers and mentored younger students. In the summer of 2026 I worked front of house at Mango Mango and was promoted to head waiter in my first week.
Away from finance, I play tennis (I was a New Jersey state champion in high school), play guitar, and keep a close eye on entrepreneurship and how new businesses get built. I speak English and conversational Mandarin.
